Barre (MA) Congregational Church UCC

Serving the Barre area since 1827

WELCOME!

Barre Congregational Church, United Church of Christ

Sunday worship and Sunday School

at

Everyone is invited.

Together we …

  • Worship God every Sunday morning at 9:30, lifting up our voices in music and prayer, reflecting in quietness, and opening up the story the Bible tells each week about our own lives.

  • Teach our community’s children  through our Sunday School; children begin the service together with the adults at 9:30, and after a Children’s Message from the minister, they go to their own Sunday School classes. Confirmation classes for 9th and 10th graders are held every other year.

  • Serve the community and the world by our support to others who are involved in helping people in need, both nearby and throughout the world, and by our own work feeding homeless people, providing meeting places for Boy and Girl Scouts, and joining with the other churches of Barre to support efforts like the Barre Food Bank.

  • Grow together in faith learning to appreciate the varied gifts of the people who travel with us on this journey, asking only, “How can we follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ?”

Sunday School

Sunday school begins on

September 14, 2008

9:30 a.m.

For those parents who are not familiar with our program, the children will attend church for approximately the first fifteen minutes of the service and after the children’s time they will be dismissed to their class rooms for the remainder of the service.

The Christian Educations goal is to make this year bigger and better than last year.  Sunday school is an important ministry to this church so we encourage all parents with children to get them involved.  They will find the rewards to be satisfying.
